Barcelona are keen on extending their contract with Peña, who the club have positioned as the long-term successor to German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. While the 24-year-old goalkeeper wants to renew his contract with the club as well.

The Azulgrana recently confirmed that Peña has signed a new deal. That runs until 2026 and has a release clause of €400m. Other young players next include Alejandro Balde, Lamine Jamal and Arnau Tenas.
